What is Tron?
Tron is a blockchain launched in 2017 and built for cheap, high-volume transactions. Its main use today is moving stablecoins: a large share of the world's stablecoin transfers settle on Tron because fees are low and confirmations are quick. TRX is the network's coin. It pays for transactions, secures the network through staking, and gives holders a vote in the network's governance. People buy TRX to use the network and to hold it.
The price above is set by supply and demand across exchanges worldwide, 24 hours a day. No central bank sets it and there's no closing bell.
Three things drive most of the movement. Stablecoin volume: because Tron's main job is moving stablecoins, the amount of that traffic feeds demand for TRX to pay fees. Supply mechanics: Tron has no fixed maximum. New TRX is issued as rewards and fees are burned, so the net change in supply depends on how busy the network is. The max supply tile above reads "No max" for that reason. The wider market: TRX follows the broader market's direction like most large coins, with its own timing.
