What is BNB?

BNB is the coin of BNB Chain, a blockchain launched in 2017 by the exchange Binance. It started as a discount token for trading fees on that exchange and grew into the fuel for a large network of apps, tokens and games. People buy BNB to pay for transactions on BNB Chain, to use those apps, and to hold it.

The price above is set by supply and demand across exchanges worldwide, trading 24 hours a day. There's no central bank behind it and no closing bell, so it moves while you watch.

Three things drive most of the movement. Burns: BNB's supply is designed to shrink. The network removes coins from circulation on a regular schedule, and a portion of transaction fees is burned too. The stated target is 100 million BNB, down from an initial 200 million. Fewer coins doesn't guarantee a higher price, but the schedule is public and traders watch it. Exchange news: because BNB is tied so closely to one company, news about that company, good or bad, moves the coin more than it would move most others. Regulatory action against the exchange has moved the price in the past. The wider market: BNB follows Bitcoin and the broader crypto market like most large coins.

That single-company link is the honest caveat here. It has pushed BNB up in good years and down hard in bad ones. Nobody can tell you which comes next. This page gives you the live price, the history and a clean way to buy if you decide to.

The live price is at the top of this page, refreshed continuously from global market data. It is the market rate — the exact amount you pay is shown at checkout before you confirm, including any costs.
BNB trades globally, 24 hours a day, with its price set purely by supply and demand. There is no central bank steadying it and no closing bell pausing it. News, regulation and shifts in demand all show up in the price immediately, which makes it more volatile than most traditional assets.
The all-time high, and how far the current price sits below it, are both in the market stats above. They update as the market does.
Yes. You buy by amount of money, not by whole coins, so you can buy a fraction of a BNB.
No. Nobody can reliably predict crypto prices, and anyone claiming otherwise is guessing. What we give you instead is live data, price history, and a clear quote before you commit to anything. Whether and when to buy is your decision.
